In 1950 Giovanni Rivoira founded the company Rivoira together with his brothers Andrea and Michele, focusing initially on production of apples and peaches. In 1955 they started exporting their products abroad. A few years later, Rivoira was among the largest exporters to overseas destinations. In 1975 they set up the first kiwi plantations, and in 1984 a dedicated company named Kiwi Spa was founded. Today, thanks to the integration of Italian and Chilean production Rivoira Group is able to supply the world market for 12 months a year with kiwis, apples and pears. Kiwi Uno imports from the Southern Hemisphere also table grapes, cherries and plums and since 2014 processes also stone fruits.
