Pasam is an association of citrus fruit producers of the province of Syracuse, dealing with lemons (90%) and oranges (10%) with various trademarks, among which the famous “Bellafruit”. The process activity is carried out in a factory of 8000 sq.m. The kind of lemon that is traded is the “Femminello Siracusano”, a graft diffused only in a limited area of south-eastern Sicily, which is one of the best kinds of Europe for its quality characteristics. The “Femminello Siracusano” has a finegrained rind, a very good resistance, abundant juice, small and few pips. For some years Pasam has been concerned also in the processing and commercialisation of organic lemons.
