Geagri is a producers’ organization with about 150 farms engaged in collection, storage, preservation, packaging and marketing of fruit and vegetables. Geagri has two separate packing houses: one situated in Massafra (TA), used mainly for the treatment of products coming from Puglia, Calabria and Metaponto (citrus, table grape and strawberry), and the other one in Ferrara, used for the production coming from Emilia Romagna (pear, apple and stone fruits). Even if the main market is still Italy, Geagri is developing the trading abroad, especially in the Eastern Europe.
