Ortofrutticoli La Pernice produces, selects, packages and distributes cherries, table grapes, apricots, peaches, nectarines, artichokes, clementines, watermelons and cauliflowers. The production takes place on associated farms in compliance with shared rules, with the objective of producing fruit and veg. with top-notch organoleptic and nutritional properties, respecting the natural time for ripening and guaranteeing food safety. The products come from high vocation areas in Apulia and Basilicata. The processing and packaging works, which cover 10,000 sq.m., were enlarged in 2010 and equipped with new state of the art equipment. The company recently planted an additional 150 hectares, which will become fully productive in 2012.
