Oranfrizer is today one of the most important ambassadors of Sicily’s citrus fruits in the world, and above all, of the blood orange. The company, property of the Alba family, has been active for three generations in the improvement of these products. It has its own farm, Carmito, and a group of hundreds of producers as co-operators. Since the mid 1980s, Oranfrizer has developed techniques of integrated struggle, to drastically reduce the use of plant protection products. Rooted in the extraordinary environmental context of the Plain of Catania, the Oranfrizer activity has progressively extended in order to work with the other typical Sicilian fruits and to produce fresh citrus juices.
